A hardware store sells the same item by the piece, the box and the metre.
iVendNext already does that at the till, along with kits, variants and stock in every store and warehouse. A few free apps add what a hardware counter asks for: bins, the trade counter, a price checker on the floor and warranty terms. You keep the ERP you already own and take only the parts your stores need.
The till already sells the way hardware sells. Small apps add the counter's habits.
Your ERP knows what your stock is worth and what you have ordered. A customer buying two and a half metres of chain, a box of screws and a tiling kit at the trade counter on account happens at the till and in the aisle, so that record belongs with the till. iVendNext is the retail layer beside your ERP, and the hardware apps plug into its till and its back office.
Around it all is the work that makes it yours: setting it up, loading your items and units, and building what your chain needs on top of our apps. An iVendNext partner can do that for you, or your own team can. Everything on this page is available today.
Your ERP and your web store stay where they are. The till sits on the stock and back office, and the hardware apps plug into both. Inside the dashed line is what your iVendNext partner, or your own team, sets up and extends.
Four hardware retailers, four starting points
No store needs every part. Start from the one closest to yours, then add or drop apps against your own list of requirements.

From the first conversation to a live store
An iVendNext partner in your region usually runs these steps with you; a team with its own developers can run them itself. iVendNext gives the product, the apps and the guides at every step.
- Fit check. Put your own list of requirements against the menu in section 2. What the till and the apps meet unchanged is ready; the rest is set-up or an extension.
- Set up the stores. Stores, warehouses and yards, tills and their profiles, users and roles, and the price lists for retail and trade.
- Link your ERP and web store. iVendNext connects to SAP Business One, SAP S/4HANA, Acumatica, NetSuite and Sage X3, and to WooCommerce for your web store; any other ERP, including a regional one, your partner connects with the iVendNext partner kit. Purchasing and goods-in can stay in the ERP.
- Load the range. Items and their variants, each item's units and pack sizes, the items sold by length or weight, your project kits, and lots for paints and sealants.
- Install the apps your stores need: bin locations, the trade counter's rules, the price checker, warranty terms, click and collect.
- Counter hardware. Scanners, cash drawers, receipt printers and pole displays at each counter; handhelds for goods-in and counts; a tablet for each price checker.
- Train and go live, store by store: cashiers at the counter, staff on the floor and in the yard, the stock team and the back office.
- Day to day. Your partner supports what it delivers. We support the product.
Make it yours
Our apps are the version most hardware stores need. When yours works differently, your iVendNext partner, or your own developers, can copy any app in our library, change it and build what your chain needs on top. What is built for you is yours.
Delivery slots
Delivery and pickup windows customers choose, and routing an order to the best store or yard.
Curbside hand-over
Orders brought to the customer's vehicle, with the hand-over recorded.
Project quotes for builders
One quote for a whole job, delivered in stages as the work goes on.
Picking by aisle
Pick lists ordered by your bins and aisles, for the floor and the yard.
Kit labels
Labels that list a kit's contents, its safety notes and how to fit it.
Paint mixing and tool hire
Tint formulas kept per customer, and tools hired out by the day and returned.
Three developer samples are a head start for the most common ones:
Trade price lists kept in step
A trade or wholesale list worked out from the retail list, updated when a retail price changes.
The recipe, for your partner or your own developersInvoices and price lists for trade
A layout for each trade customer's invoice, and a price list with a photo of every item.
The recipe, for your partner or your own developersStock alerts with a draft transfer
Low-stock alerts per store, and a transfer request drafted for a person to check and send.
The recipe, for your partner or your own developersWhy hardware retailers choose iVendNext
Each reason carries its evidence.
Units done in the till, not by hand
The cashier picks the unit and the till prices it, from the unit's own price or the item's size. Stock comes off in the unit you count, so a box sold at the counter and a single sold on the floor leave the same shelf right.
The till's unit rules, which follow the back office's own pricing.
Trade and retail in one system
Trade accounts keep their own prices, their own counter and their own ways to pay, set in the back office, with no second system for the trade desk.
The trade price list; the Customers by store and Payment method rules apps.
Keep your ERP
iVendNext is the retail layer beside your ERP, and connects to SAP Business One, SAP S/4HANA, Acumatica, NetSuite and Sage X3. Any other ERP, including a regional one, your partner connects with the iVendNext partner kit. Purchasing and goods-in can stay in the ERP.
Our ERP connectors and the iVendNext partner kit.
One till for every industry
A hardware store needs no screen of its own. The trade counter, a tablet in the aisle and a phone in the yard run the same till, so staff train once.
iVendNext POS, one app for counter, tablet and phone.
Free apps, open to build on
The hardware apps are free, and there is no separate price for hardware. Their code is open: your partner, or your own developers, can copy and extend them for the way your chain works.
Our App library and kit terms.
The till keeps selling offline
When the connection drops, the counter keeps ringing up sales, and they are booked when it comes back.
The till's offline mode.
