In a liquor store, some sales need an ID.
iVendNext runs the store: the counters, the stockroom, prices, promotions and loyalty. Small apps from our library add what a licence asks for: the age checked at the scan and held at Pay, and dated stock marked down before it expires. You keep the ERP you already own, and you take only the parts your stores need.
We run the store. Small apps carry the licence.
Most of a liquor store is everyday retail: bottles and cases on the shelf, prices and promotions that change every week, regulars who come back. iVendNext runs all of it on one till and one back office. What a licence adds is a check on who may buy. The age-restricted sale check asks for the ID at the scan and holds the sale at Pay, and expiry markdown clears the beer and cider whose dates are near.
Your ERP keeps the books, beside us. Around it all is the work that makes it yours: setting it up, hosting it, and building what your chain needs on top of our apps. An iVendNext partner can do that for you, or your own team can. What we are still building, such as the register your licence may ask you to keep, is named as being built; everything else is in use today.
Your ERP and your web shop stay where they are. The POS app sits on the retail core, and its checks, sale details and till keys are where the liquor store's apps plug in. Inside the dashed line is what your iVendNext partner, or your own team, sets up and extends.
Four liquor stores, four starting points
No store needs every part. Start from the one closest to yours, then add or drop apps against your own list of requirements.

From the first conversation to a live store
An iVendNext partner in your region usually runs these steps with you; a team with its own developers can run them itself. iVendNext gives the product, the apps and the guides at every step.
- Fit check. Put your own list of requirements against the menu in section 2. What the apps meet unchanged is ready; the rest is set-up or an extension.
- Set up iVendNext. Stores, tills, prices and users, as for any retailer. Link your ERP: iVendNext connects to SAP Business One, SAP S/4HANA, Acumatica, NetSuite and Sage X3, and your partner connects any other ERP with the partner kit. WooCommerce links your web shop.
- Make it a liquor store. Bottle and case units on each item with their prices, a lot for each vintage you keep apart, and your restricted item groups for spirits, wine, beer, tobacco and vapes.
- Hardware. Scanners at each counter; cash drawers, receipt printers and customer displays through the counter hardware app; tablets or phones for a second counter. Try your own hardware with your partner before you go live.
- Install the apps: the age check, expiry markdown and coupon rules from the App library, and the loyalty app your stores use.
- Load the data. Items with their units and barcodes, vintages as lots, the age on each restricted item group, and markdown steps on your dated beer and cider.
- Train and go live, store by store: cashiers and the age check, the stockroom, store managers.
- Day to day. Your partner supports what it delivers. We support the product.
Make it yours
Our apps are the version most liquor stores need. When yours works differently, your iVendNext partner, or your own developers, can copy any free app in our library, change it and build what your chain needs on top. What is built for you is yours.
A version for your chain
Your own age rules and markdown steps, built from our apps.
Your market's register
The liquor or tobacco book your licence names, written as a data set for the regulated stock register we are building, with its printed layout checked for your market.
An ID scanner at the counter
A scanner that reads the customer's ID card into the age check.
A tasting counter
Open tabs for a tasting bar beside your store, on the same till.
Links to your other systems
Supplier ordering, delivery services, the reports your excise office asks for.
Hosting and support
Your services run and supported near you.
Why liquor retailers choose iVendNext
Each reason carries its evidence.
The age checked twice
A restricted item asks for the ID when it is scanned, and the sale is checked again at Pay, so a bottle picked from a list is caught at Pay too. The check is recorded on the sale, and no date of birth or ID number is kept.
The age-restricted sale check.
The bottle and the case
Buy by the case, sell by the bottle or the case, each at its own price. The cashier changes a line's unit at the till.
The till's units of measure.
One till for every format
The same till runs a chain's counters, a wine store, a tablet at a tasting and a phone in the Friday queue. A store adds a format without new software, and staff train once.
iVendNext POS, one app for phone, tablet and counter.
Keep your ERP
iVendNext is the retail layer beside your ERP. It connects to SAP Business One, SAP S/4HANA, Acumatica, NetSuite and Sage X3, and your partner connects any other ERP, a regional one included, with the iVendNext partner kit.
Our ERP connectors and the partner kit.
Apps open to build on
The age check and expiry markdown are free to install, and there is no separate price for liquor. Their code is open: your partner, or your own developers, can copy and extend them for the way your chain works.
Our App library and kit terms.
Selling goes on when the line drops
Supported sales carry on when the connection is lost and synchronise when it returns.
The till's offline selling.
Being built
In the order we are building them.
- 1
The register door in the till
Each sale or receipt of regulated stock written into its register in the same save as the sale, numbered without a gap, with a running balance two tills cannot break, and never edited.
- 2
The regulated stock register
Your market's legal stock books kept as data: which book, which items, which movements and which columns. A second market is a new data set, with no new software, and your partner checks its printed layout for your market.
The library keeps growing, and anything else your partner or your own team can build with the iVendNext partner kit.
