Features

Travel retail software: every feature, in one list

Everything iVendNext does for a chain of duty-free and airport stores, grouped by the jobs your stores do every day: the boarding pass, the allowance, the flight and the day, the age check and members-only items, receipts for your market, and head office.

The boarding pass

The boarding pass on every sale

The till does the checking, so the cashier keeps the queue moving.

  • One till on terminal, tablet and phoneThe boarding pass, the allowance and the age check in the same iVendNext POS on every device, from the main counter to a tablet at a promotion stand.
  • The pass scanned into the saleThe cashier scans the boarding pass with the same scanner used for items.
  • No pass, no saleA sale with no pass, or a pass that cannot be read, is stopped with the reason.
  • The pass kept on the saleThe boarding pass stays on the sale, and on any return made from it.
  • Only at the stores you chooseThe pass is asked only at the tills you choose, so your city stores sell as usual.
  • Refusals that say what to doA refusal tells the cashier exactly what to do next.
  • Selling when the line dropsSupported sales carry on offline and synchronise when the connection returns. If the allowance check cannot be reached, the sale goes on and is flagged for review.
  • Counter hardwareThe drawer opens, the receipt prints on the counter's own printer, and the customer display shows your welcome, sale and thank-you lines.
The duty-free allowance

Each passenger's allowance, checked at Pay

Counted on the whole sale, with everything bought on the same pass.

  • An allowance on each item groupSet an allowance on an item group, such as 4 litres of spirits, and it covers every group below it, such as whisky and gin.
  • Counted in litres and cartonsEach item counts in its group's measure: a 75 cl bottle as 0.75 litres, a carton as 200 cigarettes.
  • Earlier sales on the same passThe passenger's earlier sales on the same pass count toward the allowance.
  • Returns give their share backA return gives its share of the allowance back.
  • What to take offWhen a sale goes over, the till tells the cashier what to take off.
  • Items with no allowanceItems with no allowance sell as usual.
The flight and the day

The right flight and the right day

Set once for your airport, checked on every pass.

  • Flights from your airportA pass for a flight from another airport is refused, naming both airports.
  • The right dayA pass for a flight on another day is refused, by your airport's own time.
  • Departures storesSell to passengers flying out, within each passenger's allowance.
  • Arrivals storesSell to passengers who have just landed, on the pass of the flight they arrived on.
Age check and members-only items

Restricted goods and members-only items, checked at the till

Checks at the scan and at Pay, on every counter.

  • An age on each item groupAn age on an item group, such as alcohol 18, or on one item.
  • The date of birth at the scanThe till shows the cashier the date of birth to check against the ID, and records the check on the sale.
  • Pay refused without itA restricted line without its check is refused at Pay, even one picked from a list; when the check cannot answer, the sale goes on and is flagged for review.
  • No ID number keptThe check is recorded on the sale; no date of birth or ID number is kept.
  • Members-only itemsA sale with a members-only item is refused at Pay for a customer who is not a member.
  • ID on a large saleOn a sale at or above your ID limit, the till asks the cashier whether the customer has shown ID.
  • Your rules in your back officeA members-only item or item group, a member customer group and an ID limit, kept as records in your own back office.
  • Never sold uncheckedWhen the members-only check cannot answer, the sale is refused, so a members-only item is never sold unchecked.
Receipts for your market

A receipt laid out for your market

Chosen on each till.

  • A layout on each tillEach till prints the receipt layout you choose for it.
  • UAE tax invoice receiptOne market's example: every label in English beside Arabic, with your tax registration number, each line's VAT rate and the taxable value at each rate. Have your tax adviser check it against the rules that apply to you.
  • Tax credit notes on returnsOn the UAE receipt, a return prints as a tax credit note with the original invoice's number.
  • Reprints markedA reprint of the UAE receipt is marked as a duplicate.
