iVendNext Release 2.0: New AI, Marketplace Apps and Retail Enhancements

iVendNext is a retail management platform built to support how retailers manage daily operations.

With Version 2.0, the platform expands in two clear areas.

The first is the addition of new optional modules and app categories. This includes three AI modules and one workflow automation module under the new iVendNext AI & Automation category, along with iVendNext Marketplace Apps, CRM, Light Manufacturing, the iVendNext WhatsApp App, and country-specific compliance and payment modules for Kenya, Saudi Arabia, and Mexico.

The second is a set of enhancements to the existing Retail module. These include five practical capabilities that customers have specifically asked for, designed to make daily retail operations easier to manage.

The new modules ship as Optional Modules. Each deploys on the same data model as the rest of iVendNext, shares the same configuration, and posts to the same ledger. Customers choose what they need today and add the rest later.

iVendNext AI & Automation

A new set of modules that brings AI and visual workflow automation into the iVendNext platform.

It includes three AI modules: AI Gateway, AI Foresight, and AI Copilot, along with one workflow automation module, the n8n Node for iVendNext.

The AI modules operate on a Bring Your Own Key model. The customer connects their own AI provider account, giving the retailer the flexibility to choose the language model that fits the business and manage the AI provider relationship directly.

AI & Automation is licensed and paid separately from the core platform.

iVendNext AI Gateway
connects iVendNext to the AI assistants customers already use — Claude Desktop, Claude Code, OpenAI Codex, and any MCP-compatible AI client. Users ask business questions in plain English and get answers drawn from their live iVendNext data. The AI can also retrieve documents, generate reports, and trigger workflow actions through conversation. Every query runs under the authenticated user’s iVendNext role, and every interaction is logged.

iVendNext AI Foresight
adds three forecasting engines: stock demand prediction with automated draft purchase orders when reorder alerts are raised, sales prediction with customer churn risk and cross-sell scoring, and financial forecasting for cash flow, revenue, and expenses. Every forecast is compared against realised actuals and rated for accuracy, with overconfident models flagged for retraining.

iVendNext AI Copilot
is a conversational AI assistant embedded inside iVendNext Desk. Copilot uses the customer’s own ChatGPT account (via OAuth) or Anthropic Claude account (via API key); iVendNext does not hold or proxy the AI provider key. Copilot answers questions about iVendNext data in plain English, executes actions through 40+ pre-built tools across the platform, and runs every tool call through a role-based permission guard. Usage is rate-limited and fully audited.

n8n Node for iVendNext
is the official connector to n8n, the visual workflow automation platform. The Action Node performs read and write operations on any iVendNext document; the Trigger Node starts workflows when iVendNext events happen. Customers can also build custom AI workflows that read live iVendNext data through a language model of their choice.

iVendNext Marketplace Apps

iVendNext Marketplace Apps opens the platform to certified integrations, statutory localisations, and add-on apps. Customers can browse and subscribe to apps from a central marketplace at cloud.ivendnext.com.

The four country-specific compliance and payment modules in this release, Kenya M-Pesa, Kenya eTIMS, KSA ZATCA, and Mexico Localization, are distributed through the Marketplace. Apps installed through the Marketplace integrate natively into iVendNext and inherit its security, role, and audit model.

The Marketplace is the new home for everything that extends iVendNext beyond its core platform, including country localisations, payment integrations, vertical add-ons, and certified apps. It gives the iVendNext ecosystem a scalable way to grow.

CRM and Light Manufacturing

CRM
is a sales management module built into iVendNext Desk. Leads are captured from email, spreadsheet imports, or manual entry, then routed through configurable pipeline stages to opportunity and conversion. Marketing campaigns are built and sent from inside iVendNext, each linked back to leads and opportunities for measurable ROI. Real-time pipeline visibility, conversion analysis, and response-time benchmarks are available without exporting a single spreadsheet.

Light Manufacturing
covers the production cycle from bill of materials to finished goods. Multi-level BOMs support both production and kit selling at POS, where a kit scans as one item. Work orders, job cards, quality inspection, production planning, and a manufacturing dashboard are included.

Both modules deploy on the same data model as the rest of iVendNext.

iVendNext WhatsApp App

The iVendNext WhatsApp App connects iVendNext to WhatsApp in two directions.

For outbound communication, order confirmations, delivery updates, payment reminders, and digital receipts are dispatched automatically when business events happen inside iVendNext. Promotional campaigns are built inside iVendNext Desk, approved by Meta, and then sent to thousands of recipients with per-recipient personalisation.

For inbound communication, every customer reply, button tap, and media file is captured against the customer record in iVendNext.

Two API providers are supported in parallel: Meta Cloud API for the full WhatsApp capability set, including Flows, and WASender for faster setup without Meta’s template approval cycle.

Retail Enhancements

The Retail module now includes five new additions. These are capabilities customers have specifically asked for.

  • Quotation, Sales Order, and Delivery Flow
Cashiers can park a transaction as a quotation, convert it into a sales order with advance payment, and fulfil it as a delivery from any store with available stock.
  • Coupon Management
Coupons can now be issued automatically through promotions and tracked through a central coupon ledger.
  • Barcode Masking
A single embedded barcode can carry item code, price, quantity, and serial or batch information.
  • Sales Person Assignment
Sales persons can be assigned automatically, selected manually, or added through barcode scan. The module also supports commission splits across multiple sales persons.
  • Face Detection Login
Cashiers can sign in by looking at the camera, with liveness detection and server-side face matching.

Compliance Where It Matters

Four country-specific compliance modules ship with Version 2.0 and are distributed through the iVendNext Marketplace.

  • Kenya M-Pesa
Customers in Kenya can now collect M-Pesa payments directly from POS and Desk through integration with the Safaricom Daraja API.
  • Kenya eTIMS Compliance
iVendNext supports real-time submission of invoices, stock movements, and master data records to the Kenya Revenue Authority through Slade360 middleware.
  • KSA ZATCA Integration
For customers in Saudi Arabia, iVendNext connects directly to ZATCA’s FATOORAH platform. Every invoice is cryptographically signed in UBL 2.1 XML, with B2B clearance before delivery, B2C reporting within the 24-hour deadline, and an auditable hash chain across invoice history.
  • Mexico Localization
For customers in Mexico, iVendNext POS connects directly to FacturaAPI, an SAT-authorised PAC. Every POS sale automatically generates a SAT-compliant CFDI document, including Type I for standard sales, Type E for credit notes, and Type P for payment complements. SAT verification QR codes are also generated on stamped invoices, and CFDI cancellation is handled inside iVendNext using SAT-approved motives.
